Why you should consider a Rough Collie for your Canine Companion

In my opinion and observation rough collies most always have a great attitude and disposition and are very intelligent. When outsiders come around they will put on a great act of being a tough watchdog but they would really have to be provoked to bite if you could get them to bite.

When we had our first litter of puppies there were serveral dogs that came and wanted to see the puppies and our male was fairly indifferent to them however there was a big yellow lab that Buster did not want to let close to his puppies so he kept his body between the big yellow lab and his puppies and would not let him get close to them. I do think the yellow lab was just curious and did not present any danger to the puppies but Buster was not taking any chances but yet he didn’t bite or otherwise fight.
